About us

Heating and air work for southwest Atlanta, from Newnan

Royal Air of GA repairs, replaces and maintains heating and cooling systems for homes and light commercial buildings across the southwest metro.

The work we do every day

Most of our calls are the ordinary emergencies of an Atlanta year: an air conditioner that stops cooling on a 95-degree afternoon, a drain line that floods a hallway ceiling, a heat pump that ices over in a January freeze, a furnace that clicks and never lights. We fix those, and we do the less urgent work that prevents them: tune-ups, duct repair, insulation and humidity control.

We also replace systems when it makes sense, from a single air conditioner to a full heat pump or dual fuel system, sized with a load calculation for the house it is going into.

How a job runs, from call to cleanup

  1. The call

A person answers at any hour and asks what the equipment is doing, how old it is and anything you have noticed: smells, noises, water, breakers.

  2. Diagnosis at the house

We test before we replace parts: voltage and amperage, refrigerant pressures with superheat and subcooling, static pressure across the blower, and the safety controls on gas equipment.

  3. A plain explanation

You hear what failed and why, what the fix involves, and when it is worth comparing, what replacing the system would involve instead.

  4. The work

Repairs are made with the right part for the model, refrigerant work is pressure-tested and evacuated properly, and gas work is checked for draft and combustion safety.

  5. Cleanup and a last check

The system is run through a full cycle, the work area is cleaned up, and you get a rundown of what we did and what to keep an eye on.
